The Building Safety Act 2022 and its secondary legislation requires those who are accountable for higher risk buildings to undertake an assessment of building safety risks, including those risks relating to structural failure.
Structural risk assessments (SRA) are crucial for identifying and mitigating potential hazards that could compromise a building's structural integrity, ensuring safety and preventing costly repairs. Whilst SRAs are currently only legally required in higher risk buildings (HRBs) they are also beneficial for other buildings.
